Education rooted in community, built for real impact
RootedChange is working in communities across Africa and the United States to reimagine learning as something rooted in real life and real community needs. We help educators and students design hands on learning experiences that connect academic skills to meaningful work happening in their communities. Our work supports teachers in guiding students to apply learning to real world challenges such as drought, climate resilience, clean water access, food security, violence prevention, mental health, environmental health, and economic opportunity. This year, RootedChange will work alongside more than 5000 educators, support over 100000 students across the globe, and collaborate with more than 400 schools and community based organizations, helping schools become places where learning is connected to purpose and communities are active partners in education.
